Project Description
Located on Vancouver’s popular and scenic English Bay, this new restaurant replaces the old Vancouver Park Board concession stand adjacent to the existing historic bathhouse. Featuring 1,300 sq ft/121 sqm of outdoor patio space, the restaurant boasts myriad sustainable features, including a green roof, an organic herb garden on the second level of the restaurant, water-efficient landscaping, waterless urinals (reducing water use by 30%), and heat recovery HVAC systems. This is the first restaurant in Canada to receive LEED Gold certification.
Electrical Systems Description:
MCW designed the fire alarm, emergency lighting, power, lighting, dimming and lighting controls, conduits (for POS, security, telephone and cable TV), as well as the electrical services to the kitchen equipment.
