Project Description
MCW has been a long standing partner of the City of Toronto, providing services for 8 major projects over the last 18 years. MCW’s relationship with the City of Toronto began in 1995, with energy retrofits and facility renewal projects for 10 locations in the Canadian National Exhibition.
Our latest project with Toronto focuses on achieving energy savings in various Parks, Forestry & Recreation Department facilities that serve the City’s numerous parks and recreational spaces. The project includes 166 facilities that range from small shops and garages to large, multi-functional and even historical facilities, such as the Allan Gardens Greenhouse and Riverdale Farm. The ultimate goal is to ensure day-to-day facility operations minimize energy consumption, thus reducing costs to the City and reducing the environmental footprint of the department mandated to preserve and maintain Toronto’s precious greenspaces and community recreation hubs.
